Point Ellice Woodland Shore Restoration Project
The Gorge Waterway Initiative is looking for community and corporate volunteers to help with the restoration of the woodland shore at Point Ellice House. We need your help:
- pulling out ivy and other invasive species such as periwinkle, himilayan blackberry, spurge laurel, and holly
- spreading mulch
- planting native plants
We could also use assistance with:
- a floating barge to remove ivy along the steep rocky shoreline and to make it easier to remove invasive material to the site
- providing refreshments and snacks for vounteers
